We eat our stems too! ...

Do you cut off your broccoli 🥦 stems and throw them either in the compost or trash? It’s ok, a lot of people do. If you try to cook with them you may get something chewy and tough, it’s not pleasant. However, if you shave the outside layer of the stem, and work your away around the entire stem, you can remove the tough and chewy part and save a lot of waste and it’s yummy 😋 You can also pickle thin slices and use the broccoli stem in many different meals 🙂 #GrindstoneFarm
