The SALT-CNY e-mailing list serves to connect people in and around Syracuse and Central New York who are interested in and working on the topics of Sustainability, Agriculture, Landscaping, and/or Transition (as in the Transition Initiative).

How to sign-up:

To sign on and gain access to sending & receiving emails from the SALT-CNY listserv, send any email to Note the -subscribe part of the address in which differs from the usual listserv address itself, just for the subscription process.

An example of how to subscribe: if I want to sign on to the listserv with my email address, I would send any message from that address to Below is just one example:

FROM: <your email>
SUBJECT: subscribe <or any other text of your choosing>
CONTENT: sign me up! <or any other text of your choosing>

The important thing is our listserv’s special subscription address receiving an email from the address you’re signing up from. Once the subscription request is received, you’ll receive a confirmation/verification message automatically, and will receive a follow up message from a list moderator.
